Okay Imma do both!!

General headcanons first!! Some based on irl people I associate these characters with

Evan:

•Though he has social anxiety, he’s a bit more comfortable working with children
•He has trouble saying no to people because he’s afraid of disappointing
•Actually a Pixar nerd and has seen every one of them more than once (but he hates Cars 2 never mention that movie to his face)
•He actually looks more like his dad than his mom
•When he was little Finding Nemo was his favorite movie and he would put it in the DVD player every day first thing in the morning and watch it; it got to the point where he could quote it word for word and knew the timing of the barracuda attack (so he could run away during that scene then come back the moment it ended)
•Getting called on by the teacher is scary
•He gets into popular things really late
•He doesnt stutter when he’s comfortable with someone and has a habit of rambling when hes excited

Connor:

•Likes reading, especially classic literature
•He purposely gets bad grades because he’s got a reputation to keep
•He can’t sing for his life
•He’ll deny it but he cried reading about Dumbledore’s death
•He and Larry used to be close when he was really little
•He has insomnia
•He can’t swim
•One time he drank ketchup from a bottle out of curiosity and immediately regret it
•He eats oreos with ketchup (shut up i like it)
•He doesnt like coffee but he drinks a lot of Caprisun
•He had a fictional crush of Flynn Rider (lowkey still does)

Zoe:

•She hates children
•To confess her love (to whoever you ship her with) she sings and plays “Bright” by Echosmith on her guitar
•She loves beagles
•She’s written original songs when she was little but theyre cringey and she hates them
•She still writes original songs
•She has no idea what she wants to be when she grows up
•Musical nerd
•She also loves anime and will sometimes watch BNHA with Jared
•She hates unneeded side romance plots in anything

Alana:

•She lives with her grandpa on her biological dad’s side
•Her biological mom was Indian and Muslim, but died when she was a few months old
•Her biological dad was bi and remarried to a Mexican man when she was 2
•They died in a car crash when she was 7 so she ended up living with her grandparents
•She sucks at art but is amazing at writing
•She’s the smartest in her class but she doesnt get 100% all the time (me @ my classmates in elementary/middle school)
•She’s fluent in Spanish and French, and is currently learning Mandarin
•From 1st to 3rd grade she was known as the girl who won the spelling bee

Jared:

•He purposely says the dumbest jokes (what did the man say while petting the cat? Thats so citrus!!)
•He’s awesome at math and physics
•He’s part Chinese from his mom and knows a few phrases in Mandarin (mostly swears)
•He looks almost like an exact copy of his dad, without a beard
•Every year in high school he has a meme war with his Physics teacher; he finally won in his Senior year when he took a picture of the teacher, drew a crude cowboy hat and belt on him, and wrote “wot in education”
•He still plays a lot of Minecraft
•Hes coded his own app once

Now birb headcanons (most are based on personal experiences)

Evan

•When he was young he had a cockatiel named Squeak
•Squeak was his best friend
•He named him Squeak because he was three and thought the whistles sounded like squeaking
•Squeak liked to lay on his chest and grind his beak contentedly as Evan would stroke his crest
•Whenever Evan would walk even 5 feet away, Squeak would fly after him
•Squeak flew away when Evan was 15
•He was really upset over it and thought his mom would be mad at him
•Heidi wasn’t mad, but she didn’t have the time or money to buy him another bird
•Evan goes birdwatching sometimes because there’s a small part of him that believes Squeak is alive and he might find him again

Jared

•Jared has a sun conure named Mango
•He’s had Mango for almost 3 years now
•People are still surprised he didn’t name him Maverick
•Mango likes to crawl into Jared’s shirts
•Mango is loud and annoying
•When people call Mango annoying but beautiful, Jared replies, “Like me!”
•Jared and Mango will have “arguments,” which involves Mango making soft honking noises
•Whenever Mango hears someone say “Jared,” he screeches in happiness
•Mango hates basically everyone but Jared
•The only other person Mango likes is Evan
•Evan doesn’t like Mango because Mango likes to screech in his ears and chew holes in his shirts

Alana

•Alana has an African grey and a cockatoo
•She and her grandparents got them when she was 6 and she named them Salt and Pepper
•When she was 8, Pepper escaped the house and flew away
•She thought she deserved to be grounded for life, but her grandparents searched and found her again about a week later
•She has many social medias- Tumblr, Instagram, Twitter, SnapChat, Facebook, and a YouTube channel- dedicated to Salt and Pepper and important facts about owning birds
•She’s a very strong advocate for the “adopt, don’t shop” policy for birds
•She knows more about birds and birdcare than anyone else you’d meet
•Salt and Pepper don’t actually get along, they just tolerate each other, so Alana has to be careful when both of them are out of their cages
•She taught them many phrases, songs, and tricks to do on cue
•Alana has been bitten by both her birds numerous times, even to the point of bleeding, but she brushes it off after taking care of the wound; a bird bite isn’t going to convince her to give either of them up

Zoe and Connor

•When they were younger, Cynthia got into some weird pet phase and decided that the family should have birds
•She got the family two parakeets she named Sunny and Sky
•Sunny and Sky were very pretty, and Zoe and Connor liked to look at them, but the birds wouldn’t let anyone touch them
•The kids quickly grew disinterested in them since they couldn’t really interact with the birds
•Larry ended up being the one changing the food and water and cleaning the cage all the time
•Two years later, Cynthia put the cage outside to clean the house
•While cleaning, a cat knocked the cage over. Sunny died while Sky ended up flying away
•Larry decided not to get another bird since it seemed like a waste of money; no one in the family would help him take care of them
•Sunny’s grave is in the garden
