In the first doodle, with Borrower!Evan being found by a human who calls him a “dirty theif”.. what do they do with him? A jar? One of those kids bug collection things from the dollar store with like mesh? I’m curious. Also, just saying, this is my favourite version. #1 is Borrower!Evan, 2 is Overlord Jared. 3 is tied with the original Tiny!DEH and Connor switch because I can’t choose one to be in last place I love it all too much. 💙

they’re people who borrow!

that’s just a simple explanation, they’re tiny people who live hidden in humans’ houses and take what people won’t miss so that they can survive. no one is supposed to see them, though, because usually they’re killed by humans if the humans see them, i think. it’s been a while since I read the book.

speaking of which, the idea of Borrowers comes from Mary Norton’s book, The Borrowers! it was one of my favorite books as a kid, and I recommend reading it for more information, as my memory isn’t the best source

How did Heidi and Evan end up with the Kleinmans??? What happened with Evan’s father???

Heidi and Jared’s parents are friends, they’ve been friends before the boys were born, and it’s common for tinies to live with big people. Also, I thought it would be an interesting take on family friends. As for Evan’s dad, he left them. 🙂

As for Jared and Heidi, Jared is grounded, and Heidi is terrified. Jared is also worried, but he won’t show it. We might see them eventually though.

Yeah, his dad is a tiny, but he left them, and there are other tiny students at his school, but social anxiety makes it difficult for him to try and befriend them.

With Tiny!Connor, it starts off with Tiny!Evan, but after he signs his cast (with a fine tip pen or marker I guess), they talk a bit, then something I haven’t come up with happens, and they switch heights. Evan struggles being human size while also hiding a smol Connor 😛
